Hotel Review - Novotel Liverpool Centre

Introduction -

From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel like your transferred to a safe heaven, The Novotel Liverpool Centre is perfectly placed in the city centre not far from Liverpool One shopping mall and The majority of the city attractions. Now, I booked via AccorHotels directly and little secret is that if you book and your a member of their Le Club, you can get a 10% reduction rate off the room which is perfect.

Reception -

I was greeted by a gentlemen, who was friendly and polite, and since i was a le club member he gave me a letter offering free drinks and snacks at the bar as part of their le club night which was so so nice. One thing that le club has its benefits, the day before you travel you’ll get an email to do their online check in, this procedure save me time and money, only le club members can do it, but I wasn’t waiting in the lobby for long!. Another clever gadget was the Virtual concierge, located near the door, this big tablet can do anything you desire from checking the flights at Liverpool John Lennon

Airport, to finding your way around the city.

The room -

My room was located on the 11th floor, the highest floor of the building you’ll need to use your keycard to gain access into the lifts to get to where you wanna go, as soon as I opened the door, you’ll noticed the view of the Liverpool waterfront straight away with your eyes and the sun beaming on the room, which was very inviting. The room layout is simple, 2 little rooms one with a toilet and the other which was the walk in shower with sink, of course you got the main room itself which features a tv, a little fridge to stow your own stuff, a safe and tea & coffee making facilities, Novotel has everything to make your stay pleasant and comfortable which they’ve done. The bed was very very comfortable, I never had such a better night sleep in the hotel, the bedding is super comfortable, the pillows was soft and I didn’t wanted to get up this morning! But the rainfall shower made everything when I woke up in the morning, the complementary shower gel & shampoo with sugar cane was interesting to use and it smells amazing! Plus their products were fair trade which is excellent. I believe you can buy the bedding online at the Novotel store too!

The Facilities -

I spent most of my time at the Ropewalks lounge & kitchen which is the onsite restaurant and bar area, after I checked in and unpacked I went down for something to eat, little I realised that a promotion was on during my stay, if you take a photo, share it on their social media and show it to a member of their crew and you get a free dessert! The dishes they serve including the Liverpool scouse and in the bar area they even serve the city’s own branded gin which was nice to see and not many hotels do local drinks!. The staff at the ropewalks were very attentive and very friendly. Other facilities at the hotel include a swimming pool and gym if I had more time I’d use those facilities but there is always a next time.

Breakfast - Despite costing extra (£9.95 per head) I was really impressed how breakfast was set, it was a buffet style breakfast again at the ropewalks, the staff were very friendly, they gave me an option to sit on the comfy or the standard chairs which was very nice of them. There were loads of options for you to choose from for breakfast from your big fry up, to many choices of freshly baked bread that they have, it was nice to see some local produce about too.

Overall -

From the moment I booked my room via AccorHotels, my expectations was at a high standard and they met it with a high mark, I didn’t have any faults or problems during my stay, the staff at the hotel were amazing from check in to check out they cared and gave excellent customer services to everyone. It was also so nice that they gave me one of the top floor rooms which i didn’t expected it has made my One night stay even more comfortable, from the bed to the shower, everything was in place to make the stay smooth. I highly recommend staying here and if I’m in Liverpool doing business again I’ll be definitely stay here again.
